What will you do?

The Applications Engineer role is a key technical position supporting both sales and internal teams. This role is primarily customer facing and works directly with executive sales and business development leadership at the company. You will generate thoughtful energy solution proposals for customers seeking a combination of storage, solar, EV charging and HVAC load control for their buildings and guide customers through technology selection, product use and commissioning.

Responsibilities include:

• Engage directly with the end customer to understand project needs.
• Be an expert energy advisor to our customers, providing guidance on optimal technical and economical solutions to meet their needs.
• Provide certification, interconnect, site design applications expertise.
• Review customer single line diagrams to ensure proper application of Elexity technology, including metering, networking, and controls equipment.
• Develop and provide sustaining engineering, procurement and vendor management of Elexity controls HW solutions.
• Develop, publish and maintain application guides and installation manuals
• Engage with 3rd party engineering firms.
• Provide on-site commissioning of BESS systems in North America.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS Engineering
• 3 years experience with energy storage design or applications engineering
• Working knowledge of US energy storage application requirements
• Energy systems design and project design review expertise
• Demonstrated ability to work well with project developers, EPC’s, and customers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and commitment to teamwork
• Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive

Ideal Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering or Energy Systems Engineering degree
• 5+ years of experience in an energy related applications engineering role
