Senior Sales Engineer

What will you do?

The Sales Engineer role is a technical sales position. This role is customer facing and works directly with the executive sales and business development leadership at the company. You will generate thoughtful energy solution proposals for customers seeking a combination of storage, solar, EV charging and load control for their buildings.

Responsibilities include:

  • Generating sales proposals
  • Engaging directly with the end customer to understand their project needs
  • Be an expert energy advisor to our customers, providing guidance on optimal technical and financial solutions to meet their needs
  • Work closely with executive sales to close business
  • Train customers on how to use the Elexity platform
  • Identify 3rd party solutions to assist in energy analysis and proposal generation
  • Develop and manage savings analysis techniques and processes

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years experience with solar, energy storage or other energy technologies
  • Energy storage system application competence
  • Energy economics competence
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to research and understand complex energy rates and financial incentives
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Proficient computer skills and able to quickly apply and use new software tools
  • Complete thorough and detailed work with accuracy and consistency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and commitment to teamwork
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive

Ideal Qualifications

  • Engineering degree
  • 5 years of experience in a sales or technical sales role in the energy storage or solar industry
  • Experience developing savings modeling and estimation tools for energy storage systems
  • This role will be scoped at a more senior level for the ideal candidate
